MetaMask – Ethereum Browser Extension

MetaMask enables users to view Ethereum in their browser, without having to leave their website. The extension allows users to execute Ethereum transactions directly within the browser.

How does it work?

MetaMask adds Ethereum’s Javascript API to any website. The extension can read information stored in the Blockchain when you visit a web page. This information includes all the Ethereum addresses, associated balances, Ethereum address and balance for the contract address, transaction details, and much more.

When a user registers, a wallet is automatically created in his MetaMask Client. From there, the user can move tokens among addresses, make withdrawals and transfers, and move money between wallets.
